Premium Oils

Flaxseed or Linseed Oil

Contains high levels of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid, which helps contribute to cell function, cell membrane structure, immune function and the overall the health of your dog's skin & coat.

Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in the body, and therefore are used as a dietary supplement to treat inflammatory conditions such as allergies, arthritis, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, and some types of cancer (on humans).

Hemp Seed Oil

Contains essential oils and is the perfect omega source such as omega 3 & 6. It is rich in nutrients and essential fatty acids, with Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA). GLA contributes to cell function, cell membrane structure, immune function, skin,  coat and the overall the health and well being of your dog.  The GLA that’s abundant in hemp seeds is a building block for prostaglandins, a substance in your dog's body that helps to control inflammation, smooth muscle contractions and joint functions, regulate body temperature and other vital functions.

Coconut Oil

Benefits of Coconut Oil comes from Medium-Chain Fatty Acids (MCFAs), also known as Medium-Chain triglycerides (MCTs). In dogs, the medium-chain fatty acids in coconut oil balance the thyroid, helping overweight dogs lose weight and helping sedentary dogs feel energetic. As a bonus, coconut oil improves any dog's skin and coat, improves digestion, and reduces allergic reactions. Helps balance the body's metabolism and hormones. The Health Benefits Of MCTs for your dogs include:

  • Fuel the brain
  • Form ketones that improve cognitive function in older dogs
  • Reduce the number and severity of seizures
  • Help with weight loss
  • Lower blood sugar levels
  • Reduce chronic inflammation
  • Antimicrobial and antibacterial

There is controversy about coconut oil tough. Some suggest that is not that all good and prolonged use can cause gut inflammation or "leaky gut". It is due because about half of its MCT content is Lauric acid and its high saturated fat.

That is why at NutriPet GC we constantly using different supplements in our mixes and if you feel that this supplement isn't right for your dog we will always mixes without or will produce a specific mix that better suit the needs of your dog.
